MEET HELEN

Hello and welcome. I’m so pleased you’re here and I appreciate you taking the time to learn more about me and my approach.

Alongside being a registered psychologist with a strong foundation of clinical experience shaped by over 20 years of practice, I am also a registered nurse and midwife. This background shapes my holistic approach to therapy, grounded in the understanding that mind, body, and spirit are deeply interconnected.

When this connection is disrupted, we can feel out of balance, unsettled or confused. Together, we can work to restore harmony across these areas, supporting healing, growth and overall wellbeing. I am committed to creating a calm, nurturing space where you feel safe, genuinely heard and fully understood.

A Space for Growth and Healing

It is a privilege to work as a psychologist and I am passionate about helping people create meaningful change that leads to healthier and fulfilling lives. I value walking alongside clients on their journey of self-discovery—supporting deeper self-awareness and a stronger sense of purpose. I have a particular interest in supporting parents through the precious and often challenging perinatal and postnatal periods. I am also deeply committed to assisting individuals who are healing from trauma, experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, workplace stress or navigating legal or court processes.

Broad Experience, Deep Understanding

Prior to establishing my private practice, I worked across diverse healthcare and organisational settings, including multinational corporations, immigration detention services, rehabilitation programs, hospital environments in Australia and the Middle East, and with the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. These experiences have given me a strong appreciation of the pressures associated with high-responsibility roles, as well as the complexities of balancing professional demands with personal and family life.

My practice is grounded in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, Schema Therapy, and Perinatal Mental Health (PND) therapy.

TAKING THE FIRST STEP

Whatever brings you to therapy, know that taking the first step can feel daunting— but it can also be the beginning of profound and lasting change. Together, we will explore your unique journey and empower you to engage your life with renewed purpose and hope.
